Home office will go ahead

We took time to think about it and my wife and I have decided we will indeed set up a home office.

A while back my wife and I were considering setting up a home office, where both of us could work from home on occasion. I can only work from home when not actually seeing clients, but it’d be nice to be able to do a little of all that behind the scenes work at home, and since my wife had her accident – from which she is fully healed! – the thought of her being able to take it easy around the home office instead of having to drive into work – especially on days with very bad weather for driving conditions – is a very nice thought!

So we want to upgrade our old fax machine, and get a better copier and printer, which thankfully can all be gotten from a single supplier! Makes life easier that way.

Then we want to replace all our old BT phones throughout the house with something newer, more reliable, and an actually well known range of telephones, unlike some others… It’s amazing what Google will turn up at times. Anyway!

We aren’t quite sure whether to go buy some digital dect cordless phones, or to go for a phone system designed for business use… we don’t think it would be necessary.

I think the home office idea is partly motivated by the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately. On some days it’s hard to drag oneself away from the gloriousness of sitting in the back garden with my wife and chatting and watching the birds and occasional animal wandering in. Of course, having an office at home would still mean that we couldn’t sit out there and relax in that way, but being closer to it is uplifting anyway. Knowing I can step outside at any time and I’m in a relaxing, natural setting goes a long way to making me patient with paperwork!

I remain, working
