The Swiss Court rejected the Polanski's legal team's proposals like house arrest, and decided that he would continue to be held in the Swiss prison. The Federal Court said in a statement, "Considering his suspicion of escape if removing the guard, the court doesn't adopt these people's proposal." The judge takes it for granted that he has to stay at the Swiss prison, awaiting extradition to the U.S. to stand trial.

Polanski, now 76-year-old, was accused of raping a minor as young as 13-year-old girl, has dual nationality in Poland and France, he subsequently run away to France to escape punishment.
