A lot of successful business owners use a coach as an advisor or sounding board.  I've been using Dave Gaynor from FR Development for several years now.  Dave runs a group called 'Power of 10', which I find extremely valuable.

The concept is simple - 10 business owners working together for a year.  Dave facilitates monthly sessions where we brainstorm business ideas and develop strategies for growth.

Some of the things we've covered so far are:

• what do I really want to achieve
• developing a vision for my future
• maximising income
• improving efficiencies
• leveraging with investors
• licensing

A huge bonus with joining the power of 10 team is a personal session with Dave each month, where we go into further detail or situations that are specific to me.
