Single Local Dating Women Find Love Online

Meet Joe Hansen. He is 24 years old, loves live music, golf, and spending time with friends. And yes, ladies, he is looking for love."I'm trying to find my perfect match," says Hansen.Hansen is using his public relations career skills to help others do the same.  Hansen teamed up with friends, including Cristy Stewart-Harfmann, to launch  "By writing people's profiles for them, you're essentially acting as their local dating publicist and really putting their best foot forward," says Hansen.

Cristy walks the walk. She knows it can work because five years ago, she met her husband, Kurt Harfmann, on a popular online dating site."A few months after we started dating I told Cristy that it seemed like we had known each other for years, that we were trying to catch up on lost time," says Harfmann. If you asked Cristy then how they met, she'd say:"We just bumped into each other at Barnes and Nobles," says Stewart-Harfmann.But online dating is no longer "taboo."Certified Matchmaker Ann Robbins says more and more people are using the w-w-w to find l-o-v-e."Now I think people are proud of the fact they met online and maybe they went through 100 toads until they found their prince but that's okay. If you ultimately, if you find what you're single women looking for then the process has been worth it," says Robbins. Many of Robbins' clients found her online. Many use her matchmaking services and dating websites at the same time...now, of all times."People don't want to be alone in tough economic times. They really understand the importance and value of having a strong local dating relationship and they understand they can't snuggle up to their 401k," says Robbins. So if you're ready to snuggle up with your computer to find someone to snuggle up to, here are some tips from the experts.Robbins says -- safety first. Don't give out too much personal information, and always meet your online date in a public place."The second thing is the online profile. It truly needs to be a reflection of you," says Robbins."A lot of girls I have seen on dating profiles might have a picture with another guy. That's an immediate turnoff. The username is a big find love thing so if you have 'hotbb37'... that's probably not someone I want to communicate with," says Hansen."I recommend a lot of email communication up front prior to ever meeting in person. If you know what you are looking for, you will spot things in emails that will give single women  major clues as to whether or not this is the right person for you," says Robbins.Millions of Americans are now using online dating and social networking sites in hopes of meeting a mate. Yet finding love online still gets mixed reviews.

We asked some Boca Raton residents what they thought about online romance. "A little bit sketchy to be honest with you. I don't think it's something I'd do," says Rachel Greenfader."They love the person before they ever meet them," says Richard Hedgepeth."I know a lot of people that have and been successful," says Tony Arserio."Forget that...no thank you," says Linda Russo."We're living in a modern world. You can  anywhere, right? Right," says Wilma Lieberfarb."I do believe that there is someone out there for everyone and so love is everywhere, but I don't think you can find it anywhere," says Robbins.Robbins says the love search is like the job search. Some will hire you. Some will fire you, but there is one for you whether you find them online or not.

Online dating has revolutionized matchmaking across the whole world. It is losing its stigma which is great. I recently saw a press release that said more women are using online dating sites then men which really tells us how accepting this is becoming.

Yes it sure has. Where else can you meet women in such a short space of time. I know heaps of singles who have met their partners through singles dating sites..I do too!
